Volunteer as a Virtual College Coach with ScholarMatch!

Are you interested in dismantling barriers to higher education facing first-generation college applicants from low-income backgrounds? Join ScholarMatch as a college coach and help students navigate the college application process.

Every year, ScholarMatch provides free, virtual individualized college and career counseling to hundreds of under-resourced high school seniors nationwide, and we would love for you to join us in our 2023-24 college access program.

As a student-centered organization serving mainly BIPOC youth, we're seeking volunteers with similar experiences/backgrounds to our students. When students and coaches bond through shared experiences, it boosts students' confidence and sense of belonging.

What our coaches do:

• Mentor students remotely from your home

What our coaches commit to:

• A yearlong commitment to help high school seniors through the college application process
• Approximately 4-6 hours per month to advise students on specific topics related to the college application process
• Completing our online trainings and passing a background check
