Florida State Fair Volunteer

The Florida State Fair would not be possible without the hard work of its volunteers. The fair is much more than bright lights, midway rides, and fun food. It is a 12-day, statewide tradition that draws a crowd of approximately 500,000 people each year. The fair depends on the can-do, eager attitude of our volunteers to make amazing experiences year after year.

We are currently seeking energetic and enthusiastic volunteers for the fair in all kinds of areas. If you are over the age of eighteen, and you’d like to participate, sign up now and our volunteer coordinator will be in touch! Please contact Dianne Stahl at Dianne.Stahl@FloridaStateFair.com to received more information and request the prerequisite volunteer documents.

Volunteers are needed for:

LIVESTOCK COMPETITIONS

Got love for furry friends? Lend a hand in the livestock area at the Florida State Fair! With hundreds of exhibitors coming to the fairgrounds every day to show their animals, volunteers are always needed to help organize livestock, 4-H and FFA competitions.

CREATIVE LIVING

Creative Living competitions let Florida’s creativity shine! With multiple different categories for youth and adult competitors to enter like baking, Lego art, photography and more, there are all kinds of positions available for volunteers to help with.

VENDORS, EXHIBITS & MORE

There’s so much more to explore at the Florida State Fair – from hundreds of vendors to endless exhibits and displays, both educational and entertaining. The fair always needs support from volunteers to make these fun experiences happen in guest services, logistical assistance and so much more.

How to Apply

Please contact Dianne Stahl to request information regarding the Florida State Fair. The Fair is scheduled for February 10 thru February 22, 2022. However, we need volunteers to help set-up and break-down Fair exhibits in several areas. Shifts are in 4 hour blocks. You can work every day or just one.

As a volunteer of the Florida State Fair, you will receive a free Fair tee-shirt, a meal ticket for each 4 hour shift you serve and earn tickets to the following year's Fair (depending on how many hours you serve). Additionally, all volunteers are treated to an end-of-Fair event designed just for our volunteers.

Volunteers must file three (3) documents (Background Check, Volunteer Application and Volunteer Agreement) with the Volunteer Coordinator, Dianne Stahl. Additionally, volunteers must attend a Volunteer training session available either in person or via Zoom prior to the start of the Fair. Dates for the upcoming trainings will be sent once you are registered.
