The Soondra Foundation is a global health non-profit, that offers a dynamic environment to impact the underserved. We offer flexibility and engagement with a small but motivated group of co-workers with an immediate and lifesaving impact.

The mission of The Soondra Foundation is “To provide immediate health care access to India’s working poor during a medical crisis”. People earning between $3-$5/day in India do not have savings for a rainy-day fund. The lack of education and finances limits access to healthcare. A medical crisis often creates a long-term financial catastrophe.

The Soondra Foundation addresses these challenges through innovative cash grants. Funds are generated in the US. Micro-cash grants (<$1500) are disbursed through Indian NGOs following very clear criteria.

The Soondra Foundation has been incubated at the prestigious Polsky Incubator Program at the University of Chicago.

Reporting to the Founder, the volunteer grant writer will be an integral part of the team and will participate in executing the short and long-term fundraising strategy of the organization.
