    Description

    Associate Directors are expected to put in a minimum of 10 hours per week and be responsive to emails within 36 hours.

    SUMMARY:

    Manages and supports the Technology Group to improve the look, usability, functionality, and SEO ranking of our website.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee the department of an average of 5-15 volunteers and interns, promoting the growth of followers and visitors to the website (SEO) to obtain advertising sponsors and donations.
    • Delegate work to the Web Analyst Project Leader, UX Development Project Leader, and Webmaster Project Leader.
    • Plan and conduct monthly Technology Group meetings, including sending agendas, taking meeting minutes, and following up.
    • Communicate monthly (at minimum) to the Technology: Director and Vice President(s).
    • Communicate to the President and other Directors, as needed.
    • Promote the growth of followers and visitors to the website (SEO) to obtain advertising sponsors and donations.
    • Provide a Monthly Report to the Vice President(s).
    • Provide Quarterly Objectives for your Group a minimum of two (2) weeks before the start of each quarter.
    • Attend Quarterly Operations Meetings.
    • Communicate with HR on open positions, hiring and resignation processes, and other procedures as requested.
    • Interview Volunteer Candidates and provide training for new volunteers.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and assistance for active volunteers.
    • Manage Project Leaders and Volunteers.
    • Manage and keep operational documents current, including the SOP Manual.
    • Assist in developing procedures & documents for the organization.

    EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

    • PhD or Masters degree completed or comparable work experience (at least 5 years or more full-time paid corporate/non-profit work experience).
    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
    • Requires self-direction and must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department.
    • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
    • Must demonstrate knowledge of WordPress.
    • Minimum of one to two years of experience in the Technology sector
