Development Officer

Apply your fundraising skills to a good cause. Purple Tree Cafe is

a small nonprofit organization dedicated to providing community-based

employment for people with disabilities and improving their integration

into the broader community. Currently our employees bake and sell vegan

treats at public and private events; we also wholesale our goods to

other businesses and have a treat delivery service. We also sponsor

monthly inclusive music events. We have 13 part-time paid employees and

Facebook. We are seeking to fill a vacancy in our all-volunteer board of

directors.

For this vacancy, the important criterion is experience in

fundraising – perhaps donor management, email systems, special events,

or major gifts. The new member will lead other board members and a few

staff volunteers in expanding our fundraising efforts.

Applicants who live in the Sacramento region will be given preference;

experience in marketing, nonprofit management, the food industry, or

disability programs would be a plus.
