    Description

    About the Role

    We are looking for a creative and dedicated Volunteer Videographer & Editor to help us capture the energy and impact of our upcoming event. In this role, you will be responsible for filming the 5-hour event and editing the footage into a polished, engaging final video that we can use for promotional materials, social media, and community recaps.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Pre-Event Coordination: Review the event schedule and key moments with the event coordinator to ensure all important highlights are captured.
    • On-Site Filming: Arrive 30 minutes before the event to set up equipment and film the 5-hour event. Capture diverse footage, including speakers, audience reactions, activities, and overall atmosphere.
    • Audio/Visual Capture: Ensure that the video footage is stable and audio is as clear as possible throughout the duration of the event.
    • Post-Production & Editing: Review and organize raw footage. Edit the video (trim, sequence, add basic transitions, color-grade, and incorporate any requested music or text overlays) to create a cohesive [Insert desired length, e.g., 3-5 minute highlight reel / full-length recording].
    • Delivery: Export and deliver the final edited video(s) to the team within the agreed-upon timeframe [e.g., 5-7 days after the event].

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Equipment: Must have access to your own video recording equipment (e.g., DSLR/mirrorless camera, smartphone with high-end camera capabilities, tripod, and external microphone).
    • Editing Skills: Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or iMovie.
    • Experience: A portfolio or examples of previous event videography and editing work (preferred but not mandatory if you have strong technical skills).
    • Reliability: Punctual, proactive, and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
