In response to COVID-19, Central California Food Bank is focusing volunteer efforts in our distribution center. Volunteers will be packing emergency meals or bagging produce for distribution to our community.
It’s understandable that there are concerns about volunteering at this point. And individuals should consider their own health and well-being before deciding whether to volunteer.
In keeping with CDC guidance, we ask that people with serious underlying medical conditions or exhibiting symptoms of any illness, anyone who has traveled internationally, and/or is in any other high-risk group stay home at this time.
To help protect the health of volunteers and staff, we are requiring all volunteers to wear facial coverings. Unfortunately, CCFB has a limited number of masks on site, and we are asking volunteers to bring their own masks if possible.
Age Requirement (Packing Emergency Meals or Bagging Produce): 5-15 years old with an adult and 16 years and older without an adult.
Dress Code: Due to safety concerns, all volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops) and sleeved shirts (no tank tops).
We will be scheduling volunteers as needed and we will not be taking walk-ins. We encourage you to check back often as our needs are ever-changing.
