A few hours per week

Duties of the volunteer grant writer:

·      Research grant writing/donor identification software, communicate research findings and recommendations to HBCC Board of Directors, and become proficient in using any software programs that are approved.  

·      Conduct internet searches and searches using donor identification software to identify potential grants.

·      Accurately prepare grants in accordance with the unique specifications of each potential grantor/donor.

·      Track and meet all grant submission deadlines.

·      Work with bookkeeper to ensure grant funds are utilized in accordance with grant specifications.

·      Periodically report to HBCC’s Board of Directors about the status of potential, pending, and approved grants.

Our volunteers must be compassionate individuals desiring to support our mission of helping at-risk youth and their caregivers. Writers must be self-starters and be able to work independently with minimal guidance.
