    Description

    Emergency Care Center Entrance Greeter
    • Welcome all patrons of SMH-Venice’s ECC with a warm and friendly demeanor.
    • Inquire why the person is visiting the ECC and direct them to the appropriate line. One line is for Patient Registration and the other is for Public Safety’s visitor check-in process. Additionally there is a small third line if the patient in need of care must be seen by a RN right away.
    • When appropriate help visitors with way-finding whether it be within the ECC or to another area of the hospital. If this happens it is preferable for the volunteer to walk that person to their destination rather than give wordy directions.
    • Provide ice packs or warm blankets or both to those who are in the waiting area and in need of those comfort items.
