    Description

    Transport Life-Saving Blood to Local Hospitals in Southeast Missouri

    Drive while saving lives!

    Volunteer to transport life-saving blood using Red Cross vans to local hospitals for patients in need.

    Requirements

    • 18 years or older
    • Valid United States driver’s license
    • Safe driving record
    • Able to lift boxes of up to 45 pounds a short distance
    • Training provided both online courses and hands on with experienced volunteers​​​​​​​
    • Flexible shifts available 7 days/week

    This exciting volunteer opportunity gives you the chance to stay active, on the move, and ensure that blood donations reach their destinations safely and promptly.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Active Delivery: Transport blood and other supplies between Red Cross locations, ensuring everything is in place to support our mission.
    • Stay On Your Feet: Get your steps in while making a real, physical impact - this is a hands-on, active role that keeps you moving!
    • Key Stops:
      • Mondays: 7:00 a.m. start | Cape Girardeau to Poplar Bluff
      • Wednesdays: 9:00 a.m. start | Cape Girardeau to Perryville
      • Wednesdays & Thursdays: 10:00 a.m. start | Cape Girardeau to Poplar Bluff

    What We’re Looking For:

    • A Love for Movement: Enjoy staying active and contributing while on the go!
    • Dependability: You’re reliable, on time, and ready to take on the challenge.
    • Driver’s License: You’ll need a valid driver’s license to help with deliveries.
