Hope Center for the Arts is a high-quality arts program for intellectually disabled adults, 22 and over. HOPE transforms the lives of our students by delivering arts programming with complementary life skill training. We do this by providing opportunities for community integrations, artistic expression, access to community public art performances and exhibitions, strengthening social skills, increasing self-advocacy and independence with a person-centered approach, and much more.

Instructor Support:

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years old or over.
  • Able to volunteer 2-10 hours per week, M-F between 1:30-3:30 PM.
  • High interest in the student population.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional preparation support to the instructor as needed, including classroom preparation, lesson planning, classroom organizing, etc.
  • Reports to the classroom instructor and ultimately the Program Manager.
