Position Description:

As a volunteer at Elton University, you will play a crucial role in helping to build a new and inspirational university, you will help to guide and support students on their educational journey. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students as they pursue their academic and professional aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mentorship: Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to students enrolled in Elton University's programs, including the 16-week certificate bootcamps.
2. Ambassadorship: Represent Elton University to various people, groups, and institutions to educate them about Elton University's history and offerings.
3. Academic Support: Assist students in understanding course materials, clarifying doubts, and developing effective study strategies.
4. Goal Setting: Collaborate with students to set and track academic and career goals, helping them stay motivated and focused.
5. Performance Coaching: Offer guidance and motivation to help students excel academically and professionally.
6. Personalization: Encourage students to align their coursework with their passions, values, and long-term objectives.
7. Feedback: Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students overcome challenges and reach their potential.
8. Resource Sharing: Share educational resources, study techniques, and industry insights to enhance students' learning experiences.

Qualifications:

• A passion for education and a strong desire to support the academic and personal growth of students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, patience, and a willingness to listen to students' concerns and needs.
• A background or interest in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related fields is a plus but not required.
• Availability to commit a minimum of 5 hours per week.
