Role summary:

We are seeking a passionate and articulate Public Relations (PR) Officer to manage the organization’s external communications and media presence. This is a strategic and creative role that involves storytelling, reputation management, media outreach, and brand visibility. The ideal candidate will help shape public perception, grow our audience, and maintain a consistent voice across platforms.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement PR strategies that align with organizational goals
• Draft press releases, newsletters, and media pitches
• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers
• Manage the organization’s public image and handle reputation issues
• Assist with internal communications and executive messaging

Qualifications:

• 0–2 years of experience in a PR, communications, or media role (including internships or volunteer work)
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools e.g., Google Alerts
• Understanding of nonprofit branding or cause-driven storytelling
