POSITION SUMMARY
The Food Pantry Coordinator is a key volunteer leader responsible for organizing and managing Soldiers’ Angels’ weekly Food Pantry at the San Antonio location at Soldiers' Angels HQ office. This role oversees pantry operations, volunteer coordination, and logistics to ensure smooth and successful food pantry events each Friday.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all operations of the San Antonio Food Pantry each Friday (1–3 PM).
- Recruit, schedule, and supervise volunteers for each distribution.
- Send HUD-VASH Case Workers the registration link (FormAssembly) and ensure Veteran eligibility requirements are met.
- Maintain and update event materials for HUD-VASH partners and volunteers.
- Possibly assist with donor outreach and sponsorships for pantry support.
- Monitor and manage pantry inventory; assist with food ordering and restocking as needed.
- Serve as the main liaison with the San Antonio Soldiers' Angels Team Site Coordinator or VA Representative.
- Submit monthly After Action Reviews with stories, photos, quotes, and event data.
- Share photos and updates on social media during pantry events to highlight impact.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Passion for serving veterans and coordinating community-based events.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable engaging with volunteers, donors, and VA partners.
- Reliable, professional, and highly organized.
