Full Job Description

We are seeking a part time volunteer to review documentation for the "Military Spouse-Owned Enterprise Certification" -- MSEC. Our team at MSCC is comprised of a number of military spouses who are entrepreneurs. We need a non-biased third party who is able to review our internal MSCC staff and volunteer's MSEC applications. It is crucial to maintain the integrity of the MSEC certification process, and to do this, we must rely on a non-biased third party and not certify our own businesses.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Review documentation of MSEC applications, and cross check with certification requirements, as well as local/state/federal business business registration requirements.
• Maintain a non-biased perspective.
• Communicate back and forth with applicants to request additional documentation, and schedule time for site visits.
• Conduct virtual site visits with applicants.
• Comfortably ask voluntary self-identification questions that involve confidential matters regarding the applicant's business.

Preferred Qualities:

• Detail-oriented and personable.
• Experience comprehending legalese, such as time as a paralegal or related is preferred.
• Ability to utilize our technology platform to process applications and review documentation.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and be flexible.
• Handle stressful situations well.
• Must be a reliable and skilled professional.
