Black Woman-Owned Candlemaker Seeks Grant Research/Writing Volunteer

Sukie's Candle Co. is looking for a special volunteer seeking to make a difference with a local, sustainable, Black, woman-owned organization! As we grow, we are able to provide jobs to young women of color and are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to (remotely) assist with fundraising initiatives to raise resources to build organizational capacity and operational infrastructure.

Duties can include any of the following:

* Research grant/funding opportunities

* Write and submit grant proposals/applications

* Prospect potential upcoming grant and corporate funding streams for black owned and COVID impacted businesses

*Seeking a self-starter team player able to work independently, possessing strong research and communication skills.

* 5-10 hours/month or as needed

Flexible work schedule without micro-management. Grant writing experience is highly desired. Plenty of candles offered as our thanks while you research and write on behalf of an amazing emerging brand!
