The Foundation for Vision Therapy Awareness (formerly Building Vision) is a unique organization that is dedicated to spreading awareness of certain vision disorders that can be treated and cured through Vision Therapy. Vision disorders impact individuals of all ages, and FVTA focuses on reaching children and adults with the goal of helping them do better at school and have more opportunities in life.
The organization has previously been locally-focused in Yakima, Washington. We are now expanding programming state-wide, and want to expand the board to reflect our state-wide focus. In an effort to ensure the board represents those we serve, we welcome applicants from potential board members from across the state. Board activities can be conducted virtually.
We are seeking volunteer board members who have at least one of the following qualifications:
The board meets virtually for 1-hour a month (skipping some months throughout the year). The board holds a longer strategic planning meeting once annually. Volunteer time can be flexible and work around each person's personal schedule.
