Donation Processing Volunteers Needed

People donate all manner of goods to ReStore Chicago: construction materials, vintage furniture, power tools, antique collectibles, and other hidden treasures! Working alongside our team, you'll help manage the intake and processing of all these awesome donations.

If you've got an eye for detail and love to organize, this is the role for you. In this position you will clean, sort, and process donations to prepare them for resale. The work is straight forward, easy to understand, and can be very fun with the right attitude. Gain some warehouse experience and meet new people all at once!

The ReStore is open to the public during the pandemic and our team is taking that seriously. Before volunteering, individuals must agree and abide by our COVID-19 safety waiver. Masks and gloves are required inside the facility at all times and our staff is working tirelessly to clean and sanitize surfaces daily.

To get started, you'll need to sign up and register for ReStore Volunteer 101, our orientation shift held weekly. During this training shift, you'll shadow a staff member in our warehouse to learn the ins and outs of receiving donated goods and preparing them for resale. Once you have that under your belt, you'll be able to register for all the shifts that fit your schedule.
