Canham Farm Horse Rescue, a horse advocacy non-profit that works locally and nationally to protect horses from abuse (mental and physical), neglect and slaughter, is seeking volunteer leaders to join our dynamic board of directors and spearhead new program initatives.
We are looking for applicants with experience in accounting, human resources, legal, media expertise, marketing, as well as those connected to foundations that promote animal advocacy, rescue, foster, adoption and an equine's quality of life should their guardian become unable to care for them due ill-health or a change in circumstances.
Board members are actively involved in organizational governance, and are expected to attend at least 5 of the bi-monthly board meetings, participate in at least one board committee, make a personal financial contribution, raise at least $2,500 annually, and manage at least three donor or community partner relationships.
Based on our recent review of board connections and life experiences among our current Board members, we are seeking new board members who will add a diversity of skills that will enable us to grow our reach and promote additional programs.
