Development Manager

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with abilities to support Kids In Nutrition's (KIN) financial development strategy. We are a group of passionate and dedicated volunteers working to educate the American younger generation on how their individual dietary behaviors can have wide-ranging and lasting impacts on public health and environmental sustainability. We will be officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in early 2021 and are preparing for our ambitious financial development plan. We have compiled a large database of potential donors, corporate sponsors, and grant foundations. We are looking for a volunteer who can:

• conduct targeted research on funding opportunities
• use our existing database to reach out to potential donors, form corporate sponsorships
• assist in the preparation and review of grant proposals
• develop, monitor, and manage budgets
• performing financial administrative duties to support the team

Qualifications

• excellent communications skills
• proficient in MS Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• education in accounting, finance, or grant management experience.
• non-profit experience preferred
• strong planning, administrative, organizational, personnel and budget management skills.
• ability to work independently on multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines
• ability to work independently as well as in group settings, the ability to manage his or her own workload, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• ability to work in a start-up environment
