About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, people-centered Marketer/Community Builder to help us attract, engage, and retain talented journalists and storytellers from across the world. You’ll play a crucial role in growing The Sentinels community — making it vibrant, collaborative, and mission-driven.
What You’ll Do
- Lead community growth: Design and implement outreach campaigns to attract new journalists and storytellers to The Sentinels.
- Foster engagement: Build meaningful relationships with journalists
- Brand storytelling: Develop compelling marketing content (emails, posts, videos) that reflects our mission and inspires participation.
- Social media & communications: Manage Yuvoice’s online presence — from LinkedIn updates to spotlight members, stories, and achievements.
- Event coordination: Organize online check-ins, workshops, and Sentinels All-Hands sessions that strengthen global ties.
- Collaborate cross-team: Work with the journalism team to align community initiatives with Yuvoice’s broader goals.
- Track growth: Monitor engagement metrics and provide insights on how to improve recruitment and retention.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong communication and storytelling skills
- Experience in marketing, community building, or journalism (preferred but not required)
- Social media savvy — comfortable using platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and X
- Ability to build relationships across cultures and regions
- Creative mindset with an eye for brand voice and visual consistency
- Passion for journalism, community empowerment, and global storytelling
