Human Resources (HR) / People Operations Volunteer – Ikigai Initiative (CrowdDoing)

As an HR / People Operations Volunteer, you will help ensure that volunteers are not just recruited—but welcomed, guided, and meaningfully integrated into the Ikigai ecosystem.

🧩 Key Responsibilities
🔹 Volunteer Engagement & Communication
- Respond to candidates and volunteers
- Follow up with interested participants
- Send onboarding and orientation communications
- Maintain engagement throughout the recruitment journey
🔹 Support Recruitment Operations
- Help identify candidates for open roles
- Support outreach and recruitment efforts
- Coordinate with Recruitment and Operations volunteers
- Help connect individuals to aligned opportunities
🔹 Onboarding Support
- Send orientation invitations
- Support onboarding communication
- Track onboarding progress
- Help close the onboarding loop and ensure activation
🔹 Volunteer Coordination
- Support:
- Matching volunteers to team needs
- Volunteer allocation across teams
- Cross-team collaboration
- “Swarming” for urgent needs
🔹 Google Group and Community Support
- Maintain Google Groups and communication channels
- Add volunteers to appropriate groups
- Support visibility and engagement
- Help maintain accurate participation records
🔹 Requirement and Capacity Tracking
- Track:
- Team staffing needs
- Skill gaps
- Recruitment priorities
- Active vs. inactive volunteers
👉 Helping ensure alignment between people and real needs
🔹 People Operations Support
- Assist with:
- Volunteer follow-ups
- Engagement tracking
- Retention support
- Communication organization
🔹 Process Improvement
- Identify:
- Communication bottlenecks
- Onboarding inefficiencies
- Volunteer drop-off points
- Coordination gaps
- Suggest improvements to create smoother, more human-centered workflows
