    Description

    Logistics Fulfillment Service Associate

    The Fulfillment Service Associate is an operational position and is assigned temporarily to support Disaster Cycle Services Logistics on a Disaster Relief Operation. This position supports congregate shelter sites by resourcing and delivering materials during daily site visits throughout the disaster operation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Resource and deliver material supply requests from congregate shelter sites
    • Develop strong relationships with shelters and deliver customer-centric solutions
    • Inventory, organize and load supplies into delivery vehicles
    • Provide feedback to supervisor on unmet or evolving shelter needs
    • Help shelter sites monitor inventory levels and project future material requests
    • Drive larger vehicles to deliver materials to shelters (e.g., 16’ box trucks, cargo vans, etc.)

    Qualifications (required):

    • Ability to interact with shelters in a compassionate manner and with a customer-centric focus
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Comfortable driving larger vehicles (e.g., 16’ box truck, cargo van, etc.)
    • Familiarity with the proper moving, lifting and storing of material
    • Comfortable working independently and within a team
    • Ability to work with a broad variety of people with diverse backgrounds
    • Ability to have good organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to listen actively and work well with others
    • Ability to function in a dynamic and stressful environment
    • Ability to appropriately involve others in managing problems and conflict
    • Ability to acquire, evaluate, and report information accurately
    • Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies

    Physical Requirements:

    • Lift / carry 20 - 50 lb multiple times/shift
    • Stand for two-hour periods
    • Walk on uneven terrain
    • Walk for two miles during a shift
    • Bend or stoop multiple times/shift
    • Able to use ladder or stepstool
    • Work outdoors in inclement weather
    • Work in extreme heat and/or humidity
    • Work in extreme cold
    • Able to step up/down 18 inches
    • Speak clearly on phone & in person
    • Able to work in stressful work conditions
    • Able to work on a computer
    • Drive in daytime and at night
