    In-Person Hospice: Pet Therapy Volunteers Hadley

    Do you have a certified therapy dog with a heart for helping others? We’re looking for compassionate pet therapy teams-trained dogs and their dedicated handlers-to bring comfort, companionship, and smiles to hospice patients.

    As a valued volunteer, you and your therapy dog will visit patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes, providing emotional support and calm during a vulnerable time. Your visits can make a lasting difference for patients and their families.

    Requirements:

    • Therapy dog must be trained and certified through a recognized pet therapy organization (e.g., Pet Partners, Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Therapy Dogs International, etc.)

    • Handlers must be 18+ and compassionate, reliable, and able to work with people in sensitive situations

    • Willingness to complete hospice volunteer training and background check

    • Commit to visiting patients at least once per month
