Lead a Sing-a-Long

Looking for creative people to help youth with a sing-a-long. Can you sing the songs? Can you provide appropriate songs that are short and simple for children to learn & sing together who live in an African American neighborhood? Can you bring copies of the songs to hand out or email them in advance to us so we can make copies?  This activity will take place at our Annual Youth Art Fest in the Peace Park honoring black heroes. 2101 S. Spaulding at 21st street.

If you can sing, you will be fine! If you enjoy working with youth, you will be fine! No extensive experience needed. All volunteer event takes place from noon-5p.m.

During this event, we will provide activities for youth to enjoy such as - watercolors, teen contest painting portraits of black heroes, making drums and marching with drums, open mic performances, sing-a-long, etc. This event takes place in North Lawndale, 2 blocks west of the Kedzie pink line stop. Children are usually from 4-13 years old. Yes, you can bring your children.
