POSITION TITLE: Technical Product Manager, School Group LMS 

DEPARTMENT: Product Management 

REPORTS TO: Sr. Technology Manager 



The Product Manager is responsible for shaping Core School Group’s LMS product strategy, vision, roadmap, personas, solution architecture, product backlog, release planning and KPI’s. They will use Design Thinking to work with the Digital Learning Team and various other business teams in order to successfully manage this essential product. This will be a highly visible, senior product manager role that has responsibility for a core product offering at the early-stage global nonprofit startup working to make quality education accessible worldwide through e-learning technology. 



  • Define success metrics for key capabilities and releases of the product and regularly measure how the product is performing against established KPI’s. 
  • Develop deep knowledge of key business processes and core product roadmap. 
  • Create and maintain core product artifacts including KPI’s, product roadmaps, solution architectures, user personas, journey maps, TCO models and product backlog for each product in our portfolio. 
  • Conduct focus groups, user interviews, analyze behavioral usage data or 3’d party research to influence product direction and measure effectiveness. 
  • Develop, maintain and manage core product backlog in partnership with the business and scrum team. 
  • Define, develop and elaborate prioritized epics, develop stories and acceptance criteria that are actively managed as part of release planning / story grooming. 
  • Collaborate with scrum team to define and align scaled agile teams’ execution to ensure ecosystem integrity (CRM, LMS, Integration, etc.). 
  • Accountable for delivery of business value / outcomes. 
  • Utilize Design Thinking and business process modeling to facilitate feature / story definition. 
  • Translate business strategy into product vision, requirements, roadmaps and lifecycle recommendations that affect school group’s core product positioning around the world. 
  • Convert ideas into reality through clear communication and prioritization, and close collaboration with other key stakeholders to understand goals, enabling capabilities and KPI’s

The successful candidate should have: 

  • A strategic thinker focused on product usability, viability, desirability and feasibility. 
  • 2+ years of product management experience in a cross-functional organization setup. 
  • Experience with decomposing use cases to task able user stories through periodic grooming. 
  • Experience managing agile outcomes, specifically managing and articulating demand to teams who configure, customize or build software. 
  • Experience handling leadership communication, product demos and delivering the product outcomes. 
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across and business and technical teams 
  • Experience building and managing product development for startups is highly desired. 
  • Experience working on LMS and CRM systems is preferred 
  • Experience working remotely with virtual and offshore teams is preferred
