The Environment Project is recruiting for part-time/volunteer staff members to serve as a Policy Researcher for our coordination department. Policy researchers will primarily be responsible for researching new petitions that support our cause. This will be done through finding reliable and accurate information relevant to current issues.
Stay updated: Policy researchers are expected to keep up with recent news concerning climate change.
Research: Policy researchers are responsible for researching five petitions every month. These petitions should be relevant to our mission and the current news.
Development of Call to Actions: Policy researchers will assist in developing monthly call to actions that discuss conflicts that take place both locally and on a larger worldwide scale. Policy researchers will also develop new ways to relieve climate issues that will be incorporated into petitions and call-to-actions.
Coordination Sessions & Meetings: The coordination department will meet together on a weekly basis to discuss upcoming events and engage in a group discussion. Furthermore, once a month, all staff are required to attend an hour-long general organization meeting. Attendance for both is mandatory, unless a valid excuse is provided.
