Social isolation is deadly for seniors! Human beings are social creatures. Our connection to others enables us to survive and thrive. Yet, as we age, many of us are alone more often than when we were younger, leaving us vulnerable to social isolation and loneliness-and related health problems such as cognitive decline, depression, and heart disease.
Due to COVID-19 many seniors are not comfortable attending indoor events and activities. Since they may not have computers, we need activities that are not virtual, but can be done either outdoors, by car or in their home.
This team member must be over 18, have enthusiasm for setting up activities for seniors, a basic knowledge of current office programs (e.g., Word and Excel), and good organizational skills. A background check is required.
