    Description

Hospice Volunteer - Homes and Nursing Facilities

Support patients and families during their journey through illness.

We're looking for reliable and compassionate volunteers to provide companionship for a patient or respite for the family caregiver, allowing for a much needed break.

Patients reside in their private residence or a long-term care facility. Volunteers are matched one-on-one with a patient and family in their preferred area.

While volunteers stay with the patient, they offer companionship, comfort, may reminisce and even help record the patient's life story. Volunteers may also help ease burdens by assisting with errands and light household chores. Some volunteers also offer their presence in a patient's final hours.

Virtual opportunities (pen pals, phone calls) are also available.
