    Description

    Services for the UnderServed's Flatbush Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team does on the street outreach to people with a severe mental illness and whose needs have not been met by more traditional approaches. The ACT Team approach allows the team to provide service and medication directly to individuals wherever needed. The team includes a Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, LPN, Vocational, Substance Abuse, Wellness, and Family specialists. Volunteers will help file program documentation into charts, organize community resources in program resource binder, prepare resource flyers for team to distribute to clients, organize supply closets, and help archive charts/ files. This will aid the team run smoothly and efficiently. All supplies will be provided. This would be an on going volunteer opportunity.

    Responsibilities

    • Organizing supplies and files
    • Preparing flyers
    • Re-stocking food pantry items
    • utilizing Microsoft calendar and other methods to help team stay on top of client appointments or upcoming meetings.

    Preferred Skills

    • familiar and/or comfortable working in an environment that provides support people with mental health diagnosis.
    • a High School Diploma.
    • Friendly with organizational skills.
