• Upon arrival, check in with staff at the registration table.
• Welcome donor, greet and interact with donors and volunteers in a friendly helpful manner; smile, say hello or good morning.
• Direct donor to the registration desk and restroom if requested.
• Have conversations with donors waiting in the registration area to help calm fears, answer questions, and take their mind off any anxieties.
o Ask if they are 1st time, or come often? Did you know you are saving up to 3 lives, etc.
• Ask donor whether they have had something to eat or drink prior to coming into the center. If not, offer to get them what they would like to each or drink. (water/juice – nothing with caffeine or hot to alter temperature)
• Gather tablets from donors in the waiting area after they have checked in.
• Sanitize tablets, laminated information sheets before returning them to the registration desk.
• As you have time, wipe with sanitizer wipes the:
o front desk ledge where donors talk with staff person
o chair arms in lobby area
o any other surface donors may be touching
o all door handles etc.
• If there are giveaway items, assist staff in giving them out to donors.

• Log volunteer hours if more than on the schedule.
