    Staging Her: Volunteer Description

    Position Title: Program and Research Volunteer

    Location: Remote/Colorado (hybrid opportunities available)

    Duration:Jan 2025 – May 2025 (e.g., 3-6 months)

    Commitment: 6-8 hours per week

    Compensation: Unpaid (academic credit or service hours may be arranged)

    About Staging Her: Staging Her is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women from developing countries through transformative arts and cultural exchange programs. Our flagship project brings talented women from Senegal, Palestine, Lebanon, Ethiopia, and Zambia to the U.S. for intensive training, rehearsal, and performance tours. We aim to amplify their voices and artistry while fostering global connections.

    Position Overview: The Program and Outreach Volunteer will support Staging Her in planning, organizing, and promoting our flagship project and related initiatives. This role provides a hands-on opportunity to engage in nonprofit management, international collaboration, and arts program coordination. The ideal candidate is passionate about empowering women and interested in arts and culture, nonprofit work, or international development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Fundraising Research: Assist in researching applicable grants, business sponsors, and/ or individual donors.
    • Program Coordination: Assist in scheduling, logistics, and communications for the two-month training and performance tour in Colorado.
    • Outreach and Partnership Building: Support outreach efforts to local businesses, venues, and community organizations in Colorado for sponsorships and partnerships.
    • Marketing and Social Media: Help create engaging content for social media platforms and newsletters to promote our mission and events.
    • Volunteer Management: Coordinate with volunteers assisting in program logistics and events.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Interest in women’s empowerment, arts, and international development.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing tools is a plus.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar tools.
