AREAS of RESPONSIBILITY

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Digital Content Writer to develop impactful content that enhances the Organisation’s visibility, engages diverse audiences, and promotes the Organisation’s advocacy efforts.

• Write, edit, and publish high-quality content for websites, reports, newsletters, and social media.

• Develop innovative and engaging multimedia content, including videos and infographics.

• Work closely with programmatic teams to create content that aligns with organisational priorities.

• Ensure content is optimized for search engines (SEO) and digital platforms.

• Collaborate with the Design and Strategic Communications Officer to develop visual materials.

• Manage and update corporate social media platforms in line with the Organisation’s Social Media Strategy.

• Maintain consistency in messaging, tone, and branding across all communication channels.

• Utilize content management systems and publishing tools to distribute digital content.

• Stay updated with digital media trends to enhance the Organisation’s outreach and engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Digital Communications, Literature, Graphic Design, or a related field with a strong emphasis on writing and editing.

• Experience: Minimum of five years in content writing, editing, or digital publishing.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in multimedia tools and content management systems.

• Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and analytics.

• Website management and SEO expertise.

• Competencies:

• Excellent writing and storytelling skills.

• Strong research and organisational abilities.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.

• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate.
