Accountant

CALMA is seeking an experienced accountant to join our team in the Finance Co-Manager role. This volunteer role requires ~5-10 hours per week and you will be working alongside our current Finance Manager. We are a new organization built from the ground up by passionate volunteers from diverse backgrounds and skillsets. We are seeking a team member who is comfortable in a grassroots environment and is deeply aligned with our mission. CALMA is fiscally sponsored by Chavalos de Aqui y Alla so our monthly reporting requires both reporting for our fiscal sponsor’s accountants and for our internal budget tracking. We currently use google sheets but are exploring a transition to Quickbooks. The scope of work listed below will be shared between you and our current Finance Manager. 

Scope of work

• Monthly inputting of expenses and income into our fiscal sponsor budget report by the 3rd of each month. 
• Inputting reimbursement requests from the CALMA team into our check request document before 22nd of the month.
• Inputting expenses and income into the CALMA internal budget on a weekly basis
• Collecting and inputting receipts from CALMA team into internal and fiscal sponsor budgets. 
• Tracking income from our various donation platforms. 
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual budget vs. actuals reports 
• Track estimation of in kind donation and volunteer labor costs
• Support forecasting for potential projects, as needed
• Attend monthly team wide meeting to give financial updates and learn about current initiatives
