Ruminate is looking for a Podcast Production Assistant to work closely with our Creative Director and Podcast team to produce our recently launched podcast, Questionable Food

With the mentorship and support of our Creative Director, Ryan Kaminski-Killiany, the Podcast Production Assistant will: 

  • Lead the audio assembly, editing and revision process for a highly produced podcast
  • Contribute editorial recommendations to help fine tune show segments
  • Participate in creative ideation, brainstorming, and strategy for future Questionable Food episodes
  • Collaborate with the show’s executive producer and team to gather and incorporate notes.
  • Manage (or support, depending on experience and initiative) production timeline and prioritize activities to complete shows in a timely manner

How to Apply

Qualifications:

  • Creative experience and a desire to learn audio engineering as it relates to podcasting
  • Proactive problem solving skills and experience as a self starter in taking on projects
  • An appetite to learn on the job and figure out things you may not be familiar with
  • Time management skills to coordinate multiple episodes that are in different phases of completion


Ruminate is a remote organization. All staff work remotely. Those with remote work experience are preferred, and those concerned with their ability to maintain creative motivation in this setting should not apply. This position is between 10-20 hours per week, depending on the desired applicant’s schedule.
