Give Hope to Survivors of Domestic Violence

The COVID-19 pandemic is a crisis of domestic violence. The community has a role to play in giving hope to survivors.

Throughout the pandemic, the Rose Andom Center has continued to support survivors of domestic violence in Denver by facilitating access to services such as mental health therapy and counseling, healthcare services, civil legal advocacy, criminal legal advocacy, housing information, crisis intervention, safety planning, and more.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, our monthly call volume has doubled and so has the size of our team! We need more Volunteer Navigators to help us answer 400 calls a month from survivors seeking support, services, and safety.

For more information and to fill out the volunteer application, please visit roseandomcenter.org/volunteer/

Volunteer Navigators play a key role in facilitating access to services at the Rose Andom Center and in the community. They serve as the first point of contact for survivors of domestic violence reaching out by phone or live chat. Volunteers at the Rose Andom Center are well prepared to offer support with kindness and compassion. They help survivors on their path to safety and hope by helping them navigate systems and community resources.

Volunteer Navigators undergo a 24-hour training series covering trauma informed care, crisis intervention skills, safety planning, and community resources. The March 2021 Volunteer Navigator training will be held remotely on the following dates:

Tuesday March 16, 5:30 pm -8:30 pm

Wednesday March 17, 5:30 pm -8:30 pm

Thursday March 18, 5:30 pm -8:30 pm

Saturday March 20, 10:00am -2:00pm

Tuesday March 23, 5:30 pm -8:30 pm

Wednesday March 24, 5:30 pm -8:30 pm

Thursday March 25, 5:30 pm -8:30 pm

This volunteer opportunity will have a virtual training and start; however, we are looking for volunteers who live in Colorado.
