Join Great River Greening for a volunteer prairie planting followed by a lunch and learn with GRG ecologist Brad Gordon. Attendees will learn about restoring and managing private land easements, pollinator habitat, the surveys GRG is doing, and how to maintain and/or improve natural spaces.
Convenient parking is available on property adjacent to work areas. Expect gentle rolling hills if hiking around for a tour of whole property
Volunteer work will take place from 10-12, followed by lunch for volunteers from 12:15-12:45 and an educational walk from 12:45-2pm.
This is a family-friendly event. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to attend. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary, we will provide the tools and training required.
There will also be lunch served to volunteers and extra water available, however, please bring your own reusable water bottle and any additional snack items you may need.
