Here at Adei Foundation, Inc. and the Adei Institute of Technology we are in search of an Entrepreneurship Program Manager. We are developing a pipeline of talent capable of taking advantage of the global digital economy and leveraging opportunities in their communities and beyond.

A little about us: Adei Foundation was formed in 2017 as a way to promote technology and entrepreneurship in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa. We are still in the early stage.

Our mission is to drive socio-economic development in Côte d’Ivoire through technology by fostering opportunities for entrepreneurs, talent and innovation; while applying a gender lens.

Our vision: Adei Institute establishes a world-class entrepreneurship hub in the West and Francophone Africa region, committed to connecting founders, technologists, and investors with global disruptive innovation.


Manage an entrepreneurship training and mentorship program to develop africa-based tech entrepreneurs and facilitate their access to local and international capital investment.


Adei Foundation is looking for a volunteer program manager who will oversee our entrepreneurship program.  As the program manager, you will be responsible with developing programs to support the organization's strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long term goals. You will also be in charge of developing budgets and operating plans for programs and writing program funding proposals. The ideal candidate will need to have prior experience in entrepreneurship including Lean Startup methodologies,  and program management.

Our Entrepreneurship Program has two branches:

Adei Engage (US Based Mentors)

Mentorship opportunity for US based experienced business professionals, subject matter experts and technologists for social impact in Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa. Your Knowledge and skills can be invaluable to the entrepreneurs in Côte d’Ivoire. This is an extraordinary experience and opportunity to make an impact in the development of human capital, gender equity, youth employment, and technical innovation in Côte d’Ivoire and the region.

Adei Elevate Local Mentors Program 

  1. Mentors: Up to 10 mentors; 6 month period. 

Mentors skills development program to transform mentors in our local network into top notch tech startups mentors, providing access to training content developed by our world-class experts, peer-to-peer mentoring through a Mastermind group in addition to promoting exchange with our international experts.

  1. Startups: Beneficiaries: Up to 20 startups; 4 month period. 

Phase 1: Perfect your pitch - measure your performance against the fundamental dimensions of entrepreneurship,  and how to present the critical aspects of your business with a relevant pitch including a strong Financial Model.

Phase 2: Elevate your startup - 3 months of training and entrepreneurship support for income-generating startups, aiming for investments within 2 years. Entrepreneurs are trained and ready to attract significant international investment. 

Each program serves as a qualifying phase for the next phase. 


The Entrepreneurship Program Manager’s responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Leading and managing program implementations, ensuring program progress reports and delivery is in accordance with the agreed timeframes, goals and milestones which deliver high quality outcomes. 
  • Identify program benefits and other measures of success to enable ongoing program monitoring, planning and evaluation of the program outcomes and the return on investment including the identification of mitigation strategies for addressing any project risks. 
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of assigned entrepreneurship projects, including curriculum development, training, and partnership development.
  • Lead efforts in recruiting skilled-based volunteers and students into the program.
  • Help to identify and recruit mentors and subject matter experts into the program.
  • Participate in proposal development including participating on proposal teams, including as manager, capabilities writer, and staffing specialist, budget specialist, or other roles as assigned to ensure that the team is on track to meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Manage a diverse array of talent and skills.
  • Oversee multiple project teams.
  • Manage budget and funding channels for maximum productivity.


  • Must be able to commit for at least 6 months for this volunteer position
  • Proficient in computer applications like GSuite, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and manage new entrepreneurial programs and initiatives. 
  • Proven ability to manage projects, including establishing the scope, implementation, management and support of stakeholders through the various stages of the programs whilst ensuring adherence to and compliance with relevant policies and procedures. 
  • Highly-developed relationship management skills including negotiation and mediation skills with the ability to influence and negotiate through outstanding issues with different business areas and stakeholders to facilitate the timely delivery of milestones 
  • Outstanding leadership capability with the ability to influence, mentor and provide direction to volunteers and staff to assist them in the achievement of their goals. 
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver professional documentation and reports for various audiences. 
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical and evaluation skills with the ability to develop creative strategic solutions to complex problems and business requirements.
