JDCF is looking for an enthusiastic, hard working volunteer who is interested in working outdoors in one of our preserves revamping a trail system and improving the existing trails, replacing and building a footbridge and building staircases into the hillsides. Ideal volunteer would be semi-skilled in using hand tools such as pick axes, shovels and chain saws as well as capable of lifting railroad ties and loads of gravel to make the staircases. Additionally, the ability to plan the work layout, make a budget and fundraise for the project would be a plus. Please contact Volunteer Coordinator or Land Steward at JDCF with any questions or for further details.
