    Volunteering in sports and physical education with children in Andean communities

    We are a social project that works with disadvantaged internal immigrant families and in extreme poverty in the Andes of Peru, we have a program that has a holistic approach that focuses on the educational, economic and physical-emotional development of childhood, family and Andean communities.

    Our objective is to foster the capacity of children and families to be the main agents of change and development in their own lives and to be role models that can be replicated in their communities.

    We are in charge of dozens of children from Andean, native and Quechua families from the town where we currently carry out our social work.

    Our work works as an alternative school that complements and improves in certain aspects the poor quality of education and shared in the schools of Peru. We offer classes directly in the local populations and also in the countryside, on topics such as: Self-esteem, tutoring, ecology, native culture, hygiene, reading comprehension, educational games, mathematics, English

    • our sports and physical development program:

    We have implemented a structured program of sports and physical education to complement our children's curriculum. These activities take place in a free and healthy environment such as the field itself, surrounded by plants, animals and nature around, the child and the activities enjoy greater freedom and contact with nature.

    contributing to psychological and spiritual well-being, physical capacity and the ability to manage stress. In addition to that, we also implement activities related to concentration and Mindfulness, so people with an interest in and development of these practices are welcome.

    This position is part-time, so you will have the opportunity to participate in the other programs.

    If you do not have enough experience or ability in the Spanish language to lead the sports sessions, you can still participate as a sports teacher.

    • Requirements:
    • minimum age: 19+ years.
    • have an open, tolerant and positive mindset.
    • It is very important to have the ability and patience to deal with little girls (5-9 years old).
    • possess native English or advanced level of English.

    • Although anyone can apply for the position of volunteer, internship is aimed at students or university graduates or those with technical training.
