We believe in having fun while getting healthy! With this concept, “I CAN DO 26.2 KIDS” running series was created. We want being active and practicing healthy habits to become a core foundation in our children’s lifestyle. Through non-competitive structured activities for children ages 4 - 12 we incorporate physical activity and nutritional literacy to empower our children and their families to be active and educated. We focus on allowing children to just come out, be active, and have fun. Our objective is grounded in fighting childhood obesity and promoting self-confidence. We celebrate our children's accomplishment each summer with a BIG FINISHER event where friends and families are in attendance to see their little ones cross the finish line, receive their medals and awards!
I CAN DO 26.2 KIDS is seeking physically able bodies to walk/run with our kids to the finish line and provide them with encouragement and motivation along the way. Our program will run for six weeks from June 20th - July 29th 6:00 - 7:30 pm, Monday's and Wednesday's. Volunteers may choose to donate their time on either Mondays, Wednesdays, or both!
All volunteers will be subject to a background check before application can be approved.
