Remote Voluntary/Intern fundraising support needed for wildlife charity

Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center is seeking someone who is passionate about saving animals and protecting biodiversity to help save our wildlife foundation!

Background

Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center is a Costa Rican based non-profit, the largest rescue center of its kind rehabilitating nearly 3000 animals per year and providing lifetime care to a further 800* non-releasable animals. In addition, Rescate runs an endangered species reintroduction program aimed at restoring Costa Rica’s biodiversity. Read more about us on our website at www.rescatewildlife.org!

*Over the COVID months, as smaller rescue centers have been forced to close their doors, over 1000 additional animals have been moved to Rescate's botanical gardens. As we work to heal and release them, the number of lifetime care residents will certainly grow.

Over the last 30 years 99% of our funding has been generated by admissions to our Lifetime Care Sanctuary. With the current restrictions on visits, we have launched a fundraising campaign to continue operations in protecting and restoring Costa Rica’s biodiversity during COVID.

Role Purpose

To carry out fundraising activities as per a fundraising plan, assessing feasibility and cost of how we might carry out each activity. Support timing: 4-5 hours per week needed to make an impact.

If you would like to use this as an opportunity for work experience we would be happy to provide a reference letter or act as a reference, or if you would like to use it as an internship we can adapt to your school's requirements.

Must be 18+ years of age. Looking for someone who is great at turning ideas into action!
