    Description

Caregivers provide essential support to patients, but they also need breaks. As a Caregiver Respite

Volunteer with CorsoCare, you’ll provide short-term support for families, giving caregivers time to rest, run

errands, or take care of personal needs while ensuring patients remain safe and comfortable.

    What You’ll Do

Sit with patients in the home or care setting while caregivers take a needed break

Provide companionship, emotional support, and safety for patients

Engage patients in light activities such as conversation, reading, or quiet reflection

Offer peace of mind to families knowing their loved one is in capable, caring hands

    How On-Call Volunteering Works

Volunteers are placed on an on-call schedule for their local area (within about 1 hour of their home

    base) based on their availability

Volunteers are required to provide support on a recurring basis for their scheduled on-call shifts. For

example, if you are scheduled for Wednesdays, you may be called to provide respite on any

Wednesday when a caregiver request occurs

While unforeseen circumstances may occasionally prevent participation, regular commitment to

    your scheduled shifts is expected
