The Alzheimer's Association National Capital Area Chapter which serves the District of Columbia, northern Virginia and southern Maryland is seeking volunteers to support our mission: a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia. Currently we are seeking UNPAID volunteers in the following areas:

-Young professionals to support two Chapter initiatives YoungNationALZ and RivALZ DC. Volunteers will work with a group of YPs to raise awareness, funds, and host events. Skills needed/will be gained through experience include: event planning and execution, fundraising, board leadership, marketing and communications and advocacy.

-Event planners/coordinators to assist in the developing, planning and execution of several large events that our Chapter produces each year- most are based in the Spring.

-Volunteers to join our existing Planning Committees for our two signature events

-Volunteers to support our Marketing and Communications team- generate ideas and new content and writers needed for local newspapers and blogs

-Students in grades 7th and up to share our new Student and Youth Initiative with their schools.

Anyone interested in learning more, please connect with Carrie Myatt at cemyatt@alz.org or 703-766-9031. Again, all these are unpaid volunteer opportunities for you to help fight Alzheimer's and gain valuable experience and skills. Anyone interested in jobs, please visit alz.org/jobs
