Online Volunteer Tutor

Student Needs is a non-profit organisation that offers minimal cost, online tuition to disadvantaged students across the UK. Our volunteer tutors provide 1:1 lessons for one hour a week to a Year 7-11 school student in either Maths or English.

We run 4 terms each year and all we ask is that you tutor a student through one term. After the term, ends if you enjoy giving back and we are sure you will, then we encourage you to continue but there are no strings attached.

Our upcoming Spring Term runs from Monday 18th January until Sunday 28th March.

While teaching experience is desired, it is not required. Anyone above 18 years old is eligible to apply. All you need to know is your chosen subject at a standard between Year 7 to GCSE and to be able to teach.

We have our own tutor portal for applying to teaching jobs and logging lessons, along with an in-built video-calling system so you won't need to download anything.

If you aren't DBS-checked, we will arrange a check for you.

Being a volunteer tutor for our service is a very rewarding opportunity. By dedicating a small amount of time each week to help a young student, you can have a huge impact on their life and future.
