Office Assistant

We are an all volunteer foster home based organization. The office work is in a private home where the rescue intake is done, and most long-term kitties reside. Help is needed to do filing, take photos of cats and download to our system, organize records, type letters, research potential business partners and fundraising activities, and more. Must have PC computer skills, office skills, social media skills, excellent English and grammar, and the ability to deal with people respectfully and maintain confidentiality.

Volunteers must be over 18. Our volunteer hours are on Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday between 1 pm and 4 pm. You don't have to work all of those hours or even every week. We are flexible within those times and days.

There is an opportunity to research and help with grant writing and social media if you are interested in learning. More than one volunteer is welcome to be sure we are covered during times when the other person is not available. Only one person at a time will be able to work, due to our small office. Cats and a dog are present in the foster home. Our office is an integral part of the shelter area.

We require a short orientation and a volunteer agreement. There is no minimum number of hours per week. We need 3-4 hours per visit to allow time to get work done. A regular volunteer that is stable and truly interested in serving regularly is preferred. We understand that students have schedule changes. We simply need someone who handles their time responsibly.
