Position Title: Front Desk Volunteers
Purpose: The DC LGBTQ+ Community is looking for volunteers to welcome our community members and help them find the supportive life and human services they need.
Position Summary: Duties may include based on time and availability: Welcoming and interacting with community members to access their needs, serving food to the community members, helping with shower and laundry services, answering the phone/emails, restocking supplies and general assistance with operational duties.
Reports to: Volunteers will report to our Director of Operations and will receive task assignments from our Front Desk Supportive Services team member.
Skill Set: Volunteers need to be social, outgoing, service-oriented, reliable, possess strong communication skills, the ability to multitask efficiently, and love to work with our LGBTQ+ community members.
Time Commitment: We schedule shifts in 3 hour segments. We have a higher need for volunteers for weekday shifts: Monday through Friday, 12pm – 6pm. We also have weekend shifts: Saturday, 11am – 3pm.
