Cultural Humility Training for Small Staff

Bay Area Cancer Connections supports anyone affected by breast or ovarian cancer with personalized services that inform and empower. With that in mind, we want to be sure that we have an understanding of cultural humility as well as tools to help our staff.  

We are looking for a volunteer to provide staff training that would include the following aspects: Define the concept of cultural humility (Discuss the difference between cultural competence and cultural humility), Increase awareness of unconscious cultural stereotypes and biases and the impact these have on our interactions with others, discuss the value of diversity.
