Sid Jacobson JCC's Center for Community Engagement and Volunteer Services identified two important needs at the onset of the pandemic:
1. FOOD INSECURITY
2. SOCIAL ISOLATION
We remain steadfast in our efforts to continue to address them both.
Volunteer Opportunities include:
· Food Delivery Volunteers - Sign up to make a CONTACTLESS delivery to individuals in need through Sid Jacobson JCC's Community Needs Bank.
· Caring Calls Volunteers - Volunteers needed to call SJJCC program participants identified as needing or requesting a caring call to ensure well-being. These can include calls to caregivers of participants in our adult day program and vulnerable seniors.
· Administrative Volunteers - Strong Excel skills to input, save, sort, share information from an Excel spreadsheet
· Zoom Meeting Facilitators Volunteers - Let us know if you have a special talent or skill that you would like to share with others. Poetry, musicians, hobbies, cooking, photography, birdwatching, etc.
· Tech Tutors Volunteers - Help individuals one-one-one or in a Zoom group to use Zoom on smartphone, iPad, or computer, WhatsApp, SignUp Genius, Excel, and any other tech that may be needed to access SJJCC programming and volunteer opportunities
