Tŷ Hafan are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our HR & Volunteering department!

About the role

This role will be based at our main Head Office in Sully, assisting the HR & Volunteering Team with a variety of general administration duties. The HR Department is made up of 5 members of staff working in generalist HR, HR administration and Volunteering. This opportunity would suit someone who is looking to gain valuable office-based experience or someone who has office based experience and is willing to provide their time to support our charity

What activities would you be involved in?

· Supporting the HR & Volunteering Team with basic administration tasks (reference chasing, processing applications, etc.)

· Photocopying, filing

· Volunteer Recruitment

· Supporting with the Volunteer Facebook Page

· Auditing/updating and maintenance of systems across the teams

· Data input

· Internet research

· Attending recruitment events (post-covid)

· Any other ad-hoc administration tasks

Information on training provided

You will be fully briefed by the Tŷ Hafan team and continuous support will be available. We also offer data protection and Safeguarding training.

What skills will I need?

· Basic understanding of IT systems – Excel, Word Outlook

· Flexible and willingness to learn

· Enthusiastic and engaged team member

· Good communication skills, well organised

· Good accuracy and attention to detail

Expenses/Travel information

You will need to be able to travel to the volunteering location (based in Sully), whether by car or public transport. We will reimburse reasonable expenses.

You will be asked to complete an application form upon joining and provide details of two referees (1 professional & 1 character), followed by an informal chat. A basic DBS check will also be required for this role.
